Should I just go where totality is longest?
Only if the sky cooperates. Six minutes under cloud is zero minutes. Rank by August cloud statistics first, then maximise duration within the acceptable-sky set — that is the whole method.
Is two minutes "enough"?
Every veteran says the same thing: any totality is transformative, and the difference between 2 and 6 minutes matters less than the difference between seeing it and not. Cadiz at 2m47s with easy logistics is a genuinely good trip.
When should I book?
